Hardik Pandya will captain a 16-member squad for the T20I leg of the New Zealand tour, with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul among several players from the current T20 World Cup contingent to be rested. Rishabh Pant will be Pandya’s deputy for the New Zealand T20Is, and will also be the vice-captain of the ODI team for New Zealand which will be marshalled by Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan, who has led India’s ODI squads in recent times, returns as skipper for the New Zealand ODIs.
