Trent Boult was all over Virat Kohli in the opening over of the chase, but Kohli had some good fortune as he managed to survive, also getting off the dreaded duck for the first time in three games. But if you thought those lucky moments were signalling a turnaround for the former RCB captain, then that wasn’t to be. In the very next over, Prasidh Krishna sent down a bouncer which Kohli, early through the pull, lobbed straight to point. It looped up in the air for long enough for Riyan Parag to sprint forward and pouch it. All Kohli could do was give a wry smile as he walked off after another failure. His miserable run continues.
Prasidh Krishna with the first wicket as Riyan Parag takes a fine catch and Virat Kohli is dismissed for 9 runs.
