England have confirmed star opener Jason Roy will miss the remainder of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 after suffering a calf injury. the opener has been replaced in England’s squad for the rest of their campaign by James Vince, following approval by the tournament’s Event Technical Committee. Vince, who has played 12 T20Is and boasts one ODI century, was with the group as a travelling reserve. Should he get a chance in the eleven, he’ll have huge boots to fill as England prep themselves up for the knockouts.
We’re all gutted for you @JasonRoy20 💔
We will carry on playing in the positive spirit that you embody.
If anyone can come back stronger, it’s you 🦁#T20WorldCup #EnglandCricket
