Delhi Capitals were successful in separating Chennai Super Kings’ high-flying opening pair as Axar Patel had Faf du Plessis caught in the deep. He was hurried onto the pull a bit and ended up skewing it in the air, to the right of deep mid-wicket. Shreyas moved across to his right, slid and held on to a fine grab. Rishabh Pant also deserves the credit for the early dismissal as he banked on the left-armer to begin proceedings rather than sticking with the status quo of pace bowlers sharing the new ball.
