Nic Maddinson’s frustration compounded as he had to be stretchered from the ground following a suspected knee injury after earlier being dismissed for a golden duck against Perth Scorchers at Marvel Stadium, caught by Josh Inglis off the left-arm pace of Jason Behrendorff. Peter Handscomb too had to be substituted after the Renegades wicketkeeper battled heat stroke, with Sam Harper filling in for him.
The Scorchers cruised to victory over Melbourne Renegades to bag their 12th straight win in Victoria on the back of a vital hand from Josh Inglis.
