Nic Hobson runs backwards to complete a fine catch

Melbourne Renegades made an underwhelming 155-6 from their 20 overs against the Perth Scorchers at Marvel Stadium, with Aaron Finch becoming the second man to cross 3,000 BBL runs en route to his 65. Nic Maddinson was out for a duck, Martin Guptill was caught behind cheaply, and Peter Handscomb perished to Andrew Tye as the wickets continued to tumble.

Mackenzie Harvey hit two fours in his short stay, before he was caught brilliantly by Nick Hobson, who ran backwards from mid-off to give Tye his second scalp. Finch resuscitated the innings before becoming Tye’s third victim of the afternoon.
