Injury scare for England as Mark Wood pulls up in training

Mark Wood pulled up during a low-intensity jog at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday and took no further part in the optional practice, giving England an injury scare two days out from their T20 World Cup semi-final against India. His withdrawal from the session, however, is seemingly a precautionary measure as England confirmed he was suffering from general body stiffness.

Wood has regularly clocked speeds north of 145kmph since returning from an elbow injury that kept him out for the better part of the summer. The express quick has bagged four wickets in nine matches so far in the T20 World Cup 2022.
