Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan shot in the leg at election rally

Imran Khan, the former Pakistan captain, was left wounded in his leg after being shot by a bullet in a protest march in Wazirabad in eastern Punjab, on Thursday. The 70-year-old, who till recently served as the prime minister of the country, was addressing the supporters of his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, when he was attacked.

The Ireland women’s team is scheduled to tour Pakistan this month to play ODIs and T20Is. As per Cricbuzz, the current advice provided to Cricket Ireland is that there won’t be a change in the threat level as a result of the aforementioned incident.
