Lahiru Kumara makes an impact first ball, and knocks over Andrew Balbirnie with a full and straight delivery. Balbirnie shuffled across in an attempt to ramp it over short fine and left his stumps exposed in the process. The ball crashes straight into the middle-stump and Sri Lanka are overjoyed. Earlier, unchanged Ireland opted to bat while Sri Lanka had been forced to rest Pathum Nissanka due to an injury.
