Despite the openers misfiring yet again, Liton Das and Shakib Al Hasan rose to the occasion for Bangladesh as they posted an impressive total of 173/6 against Pakistan at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch today. The left-right pair shared a 55-ball 80-run stand, with both compiling breezy half-centuries. With Bangladesh having already been eliminated from the tri-nation series involving Zimbabwe too, this game merely allowed the Asian Tigers an opportunity to search for their best possible combinations ahead of the T20 World Cup.
