Rahul Dravid is not jumping the gun to rule out the possibility of Jasprit Bumrah featuring in the T20 World Cup starting later this month even though comprehensive reports over the extent of the pace spearhead’s back injury are yet to be shared with the team management.
The 28-year-old quick complained of back pain ahead of the series-opening T20I against South Africa and following scans in Trivandrum, he was sidelined from the series and sent to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for detailed prognosis, which would give Dravid and the rest of the think-tank clarity on Bumrah’s availabilty in the showpiece event in Australia.
