Mohammed Siraj has been named as the replacement for the injured Jasprit Bumrah for the remainder of the T20I series against South Africa, BCCI announced via a media release.
Bumrah missed the Asia Cup in the UAE and also a part of the limited-overs rubber against England due to back spasms. The fast bowler returned for the T20Is against Australia and went on to play the final two matches of that series. However, he didn’t partake in the first T20I versus South Africa because of the recurring back issue.
