A fifty partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma revitalized India’s innings after the top-order wobble but it was cut short when the former was bowled by Kate Cross soon after reaching the half-century landmark. A 40-run alliance for the seventh wicket between Deepti and Pooja Vastrakar was the next best partnership for India but once that came to a conclusion, Freya Kemp cleaned up the tail. One of the two wickets that Kemp bagged was that of Jhulan Goswami, who received a guard of honour before being bowled for a golden duck. India’s innings ended with 4.2 overs still remaining, with Deepti stranded on 68.
Ecclestone wraps up the innings an we’ll need 170 to win.
