However, Litton’s brisk 126 off 159 led the resurgence, with the wicketkeeper-batter forging important partnerships along with the lower order. His ninth wicket stand with Shoriful Islam was the most productive as Bangladesh finished with 278. Pakistan were 21 for 0 in reply, negotiating six overs late in the day.

They had a tricky 30-minute period to contend with, and the openers Azan Awais and Abdullah Fazal did a decent job. Bangladesh operated with Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam at the start, while Mehidy Hasan and the express Nahid Rana bowled in the dying throes of the day.
