Ross Whiteley produced some remarkable power hitting in his unbeaten knock of 44 off 19 balls in the men's Hundred final on Saturday night. The Southern Brave six-hitter turned what was looking to be a decent first innings total into a match-winning one, smacking four 4s and as many 6s and striking at 231.58. It pushed the brave to 168-5 off their 100 balls, a remarkable amount of runs given the enormity of the fixture. Runs also came from Paul Stirling, who hit 61 off 36 balls, and the Brave comfortably defended their score, the Birmingham Phoenix mustering only 136 off their allocation.
