(Video) Oval Invincibles book their spot at Lord’s with stunning fielding display

The Oval Invincibles beat the Birmingham Phoenix in memorable fashion at the Oval during their Hundred Eliminator contest at the Kia Oval. The Invincibles batted first and looked as if they had come up short of par with a total of 114. Marizanne Kapp made the central contribution with a run-a-ball 37, with the Phoenix’s Kirstie Gordon picking up two wickets for 22 runs. The Phoenix were on course for victory with Amy Jones and Erin Burns at the crease, but a comeback was sparked by Tash Farrant’s worldie of a take. The catch was followed up by a wicket off Farrant’s own bowling, and set the tone for one of the fielding performances of the tournament so far, the Invincibles taking a series of superb grabs.
