Confusion took centre-stage at the toss ahead of Manchester Originals’ encounter with London Spirit in The Hundred. Originals’ skipper Kate Cross spun the coin, but there seemed to be little clarity on in whose favour had it landed. Rob Key, the presenter, had to intervene and tell Cross that she had indeed won the toss before proceeding to ask her about her decision to bat or field first. Both Cross and her opposite number, Heather Knight, were left in splits.
