Shahid Afridi, at the age of 44, has produced a ball in the KPL that would see the back of many a batsman in their prime. “Boom Boom” showed his leg-spinners could still cut it with the best, flighting a drifting delivery that dipped and turned visciously to beat the batsman’s outside edge and crash into his off stump.
The KPL has been shrouded in controversy after the BCCI attempted to threaten former international cricketers from working within cricket in India should they participate in the tournament. The organisers will thus be pleased that viewers can focus on moments of quality like this seed from the former Pakistan captain.
