(Video) Alex Hales, once England’s crown jewel, has his own rearranged by Reece Topley – twice

Alex Hales found himself on the ground in agony and the whole of the KIA Oval in stitches after being hit twice in a row where one really doesn’t want to be struck at all. The Invincibles were playing the Trent Rockets in what turned out to be an engaging game despite the rain, and the most memorable episode came in the form of Hales’s deep misfortune.

The Rockets went on to lose the game by nine runs, but the Nottinghamshire opener will be far more concerned by what he has managed to keep intact of himself. With ‘KP Nuts’ emblazoned onto his shirt, Topley was almost bragging at the damage he had done to the homonymous part of the anatomy at the other end of the wicket.
