Perth Scorchers batter Nick Hobson attempted to loft the ball aiming to clear mid-off but failed to get the desired distance, skying it straight up. As Will Sutherland ran backwards looking into the sun, he was left in an awkward position by the time the ball neared him. However, Sutherland leapt and twisted into an acrobatic turn mid-air before grabbing the ball with a single hand. He did enough to ensure it does not slip out from his hold as the body came in contact roughly with the ground.
