Rohit Sharma won the toss in the 2nd ODI versus New Zealand but took an astonishingly long time to figure out his decision. The Indian captain had a hard time recollecting what he wanted to do and took his own sweet time to arrive at the decision of bowing first. Tom Latham stood on the side with a wry smile planted on his face as Rohit worked his way out of the brainfade.
“I forgot what we wanted to do. Actually had plenty of discussions with the team about the toss decision, just wanted to challenge ourselves under difficult conditions, but we’ll bowl first. Was a good test for us, knowing that the wicket will get better to bat on and that was the challenge in front of us,” said Rohit about the funny incident.
