19-year-old Phoebe Litchfield scores 78* on debut

A blend of experience and exuberance gave Australia a 1-0 series lead over Pakistan with an eight-wicket victory in the opening one-dayer. Captain Meg Lanning, playing her first international match after a five-month break taken to look after her mental health, scored 67 on return. Alongside her was the new kid on the block, 19-year-old Phoebe Litchfield, who stole the show with an unbeaten 78 on debut. Together they put on a 137-run partnership that enabled Australia to boss the chase in a match reduced to 40 overs a side.
