Marchant de Lange’s perfect yorker to John Simpson excellently summed up a professional bowling performance from the Trent Rockets in their game against the Northern Superchargers. Simpson was unable to take advantage of the free hit as de Lange expertly found the block-hole.
Having smashed the Southern Brave in their first outing, the Rockets have seemed the most mature, well-prepared fielding side in the Hundred so far, having a comprehensive plan and effectively putting it into action. De Lange found himself on a hat-trick ball as the Rockets took five wickets for just ten runs.
A free hit is usually an ideal opportunity to swing big, but Marchant de Lange didn’t get that memo 😅#TheHundred pic.twitter.com/XJkMYLrp3N
