Latham, Conway slam half-centuries on first morning in Karachi

New Zealand's openers, Tom Latham and Devon Conway, justified Tim Southee's call to bat first in the second Test in Karachi, adding an unbeaten 119 by Lunch on the opening day. Barring these odd occasion when technology came to the Kiwi openers' rescue, Pakistan were sent on a leather hunt all through the morning session. On a surface that had a little more grass cover as compared to the series opener, there was a bit of movement for the pacers but both Conway and Latham found the going smooth to attain boundaries on a regular basis.
