BCCI shortlists 20 players for 2023 ODI World Cup

The Board of Control of Cricket in India has shortlisted 20 players who will be part of 2023 ODI World Cup. The BCCI has decided that these players will be rotated to ensure adequate preparation before the marquee event, which will be held in India.

The BCCI has also listed three key recommendations for the Indian cricket team, with respect to the selection criteria. The emerging players will have to play a substantial domestic season to be eligible for selection to the national team. The Yo-Yo Test and Dexa will now be part of selection criteria and implemented in the customized roadmaps of the central pool of players.

Keeping in mind the Men’s FTP and preparations for the showpiece tournament at home, the National Cricket Academy will work in tandem with the IPL franchises to monitor the workload of the key Indian players participating in the IPL 2023.
