Davies fires away to maiden half-century of young BBL career

Fine knocks from Oliver Davies and Alex Hales helped Sydney Thunder post the fourth-best total in Big Bash League history and race to a 62-run win over Hobart Hurricanes. On an extremely batting-friendly wicket at Albury’s Lavington Sports Ground, Davies blazed away to the first half-century of his young BBL career, while English opener Hales was uncharacteristically the binding glue after the Thunder were sent in. Only Nathan Ellis was able to consistently rattle the batting order as Davies exploited the short boundaries down the ground.
