Allan Donald, Bangladesh's pace bowling coach, has confirmed on Wednesday, December 21, that the hosts are expecting Shakib Al Hasan to bowl in the second Test against India.

It's a welcome news for Bangladesh as Shakib managed a lowly 12 overs in the first innings of the first Test, due to the rib injury that he sustained after being hit by an Umran Malik delivery during the second ODI in the Dhaka. Bangladesh had called left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed as the back-up of Shakib and head coach Russell Domingo had hinted that the senior pro might play purely as a batter in the second match.
