Multan win shows versatility of bowling group: Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes hailed England’s ‘special achievement’ after he marshalled his troops to only their third Test series win in Pakistan with a tense 26-run victory in the second match in Multan. The visiting captain noted that the win was a part of England’s ‘bigger picture’ – to play an aggressive positive brand of cricket.

A theme of England’s victory was how they adapted to the conditions in Multan. On a wicket that turned and gripped, the pace bowlers pounded the ball on a couple of divots that had developed and ended up taking 12 of the 20 wickets to fall. The spinners also chipped in by capturing key scalps.
