The alliance between Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Nawaz has been excellent. Nawaz took the proactive route while Shakeel was willing to bide his time. Nothing alarming happened for the spinners and even the old ball didn't offer much reverse swing for the pacers. England took the new ball as soon as it was available, rather unsurprisingly, and runs came when they erred. Pakistan would be fancying their chances of overhauling the target with five wickets intact and two set batters marshaling the chase.
