Pakistan skipper Babar Azam cruises to 8th Test hundred

Pakistan’s batting display continues to be as emphatic as England’s as skipper Babar Azam became the seventh batter to score a hundred in the Rawalpindi Test. Babar got to three figures in just 126 balls as Pakistan brought down the deficit to 247 by Tea on Day 3.

Earlier, Imam-ul-Haq (121) and Abdullah Shafique (114) both scored their third Test century en route a 225-run stand to lead Pakistan’s strong reply to England’s gargantuan 657. The visitors, however, struck thrice in the latter half of the extended morning session before Babar and Saud Shakeel forged an unbeaten 121-run stand for the fourth wicket.
