Syndey Sixers were reduced to 16/4 in the manageable chase of 147. Maitlan Brown did come up with a cameo but the writing was already on the wall by then. It was another heartbreak for Sixers, who despite being the standout team in the league stage, again fell short at the final, as Adelaide Strikers clinched their maiden WBBL title with a hard-fought 10-run win.
