Deepak Chahar starred with an unbeaten 69 in India’s stunning jailbreak in the second ODI against Sri Lanka, and he feels the credit goes to MS Dhoni for instilling in him the value of taking the game deep in tense chases.
”Mahi Bhai always speaks about taking the game deep and keep the match in your hands. He is of the opinion that if you stretch the game right down to the wire, you have a better chance of pulling off a win,” Chahar remarked.
Chahar, an avid all-rounder, held his nerve as India recovered from 193/7 to seal the series 2-1. In the video posted by BCCI on Twitter, Chahar emphasizes how watching Dhoni kill chases in uber-cool fashion helped him thrive under pressure and guide India to a memorable victory.
