Adelaide Strikers get their hands on WBBL trophy after 8 seasons

The feeling of joy engulfs the Adelaide Strikers in Sydney. It’s taken them eight seasons to get their hands on the WBBL silverware but as the old adage goes, never say never. They didn’t have a good score to defend against the intimidating Sydney Sixers line-up at North Sydney Oval, but with the best bowling unit of the tournament, McGrath’s girls clawed back into the contest in style, slicing through the hosts’ top order in the first six overs. Sixers were reeling at 17/4 after six overs and it just looked like a steep mountain to climb from thereon.
