England have picked 18-year-old bowling allrounder, Rehan Ahmed, in their Test squad for the tour of Pakistan. The Leicestershire leggie has a three match young first-class career for his county but has already bagged a fifer and scored a century. Rehan, currently playing for the England Lions, impressed the coaches in the three-day warm-up fixture against the England Test squad in Abu Dhabi.
If Rehan gets on the team sheet in the three-match Test series, he would become England’s youngest Test cricketer surpassing Brian Close, who made his debut aged 18 years and 149 days against New Zealand at Old Trafford in 1949.
Welcome to our Men’s Test squad, @RehanAhmed__16 👏

What better way to celebrate #LeggiesWeek than with an international call-up? 🤔
