Suryakumar Yadav’s 51-ball 111* laid the foundation for India’s emphatic 65-run win over New Zealand in the second T20I at Mount Maunganui, on Sunday, as the visitors gained a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Inserted, India piled on 191 for 6, largely courtesy Suryakumar’s breathtaking strokeplay. The other seven batters could only manage 69 runs in 69 balls between them. None of the other batters, across both teams, managed to make a hefty contribution.
