Sophie Molineux is set for a significant spell on the sidelines with an ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) rupture. The all-rounder, who captains Melbourne Renegades, suffered the injury during the WBBL clash against Perth Scorchers in Melbourne on Sunday. Scans confirmed the rupture to the ACL in the left knee, which will require a surgery that could keep her out of action for up to 12 months. Earlier, Molineux missed the Ashes, the 50-over World Cup in New Zealand and the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on account of a stress fracture in her foot.
Fingers crossed Sophie Molineux is okay 😓
