Ben Stokes was one of the chief architechts in scripting a white-ball triumph for England as they beat Pakistan to win the T20 World Cup 2022 – their second title in the format. England bowlers gave a wonderful account of themselves after Jos Buttler won the toss to limit Pakistan to just 137 for 8 at the MCG on Sunday, but their bowlers refused to go down without a fight. Stokes however, broke the shackles in the 16th over when England still needed 41 off 30 and tilted the scales in England’s favour with an undefeated 52.
