England off to a flier as Alex Hales cracks a 28-ball fifty

England were top-class with the ball early on and through the middle and now that they know they were having a crack at a just about par total, they’ve gone about smashing it in the PowerPlay. It has worked in their favour – particularly Jos Buttler’s – that the white ball has just not swung a great deal for India except for Bhuvneshkar Kumar’s first over. The openers have swung their bat around taking advantage of the field restrictions to bring up 52 for 0 in 5 overs. It’s still early but the game is currently slipping away from India’s grasp rather speedily.
