Careers are not defined by one knockout game: Rohit Sharma

Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final against England, Rohit Sharma admitted that while there’s a lot riding on the match his team is going to play tomorrow, a singular result should not be the yardstick to define careers. “I think there’s a lot of effort that goes into putting ourselves and playing for the country and getting those efforts, getting those runs, getting those wickets, so I really don’t believe that one bad game in the knockout can truly define what kind of player you are,” Rohit opined.

Rohit has 134 runs in five innings in the knockouts of T20 World Cups at an average of 44.66 and a SR of 147.25, and expectations will run high when he walks out to bat on Thursday, November 10.
