Dawid Malan is a doubtful starter for England’s T20 World Cup 2022 semifinal against India on Thursday after sustaining a groin injury during the team’s final Super 12 game against Sri Lanka on Saturday. The former world No. 1 T20I batter limped off the field during the fielding innings and did not return to bat in England’s chase. Phil Salt, the only spare batter in the squad, is likely to fill in for Malan should the experienced campiagner fail to recover in time.
