West Indies clinched a 31-run win over Zimbabwe, on Wednesday, to rush to the third spot in the points table of the fiercely-contested Group B and keep their hopes alive in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Zimbabwe were never quite in the chase, with Alzarri Joseph’s early spell rocking the stumps of Regis Chakabva and Tony Munyonga. The Chevrons lost three wickets in the powerplay and failed to stitch any meaningful partnerships from thereon. They were eventually bundled out for 122.
