India restrict Thailand to 74/9 to pocket massive win

Led by Shafali Verma’s rollicking 42 and backed up by a well-oiled, collective bowling effort, India registered a facile 74-run win over Thailand in the first semifinal of the 2022 Women’s Asia Cup. Thailand were restricted to a mere 74 for 9 chasing 149. Earlier, Shafali, who looked in fine fettle, smashed five boundaries and a six through the course of her 28-ball stay.
