New Zealand to tour Pakistan twice in space of five months

New Zealand are set to tour Pakistan twice in the space of five months, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced. Consequently, New Zealand will become the third high-profile team to visit Pakistan in recent times, following Australia and England.

The first leg of the tour comprises of two Tests and three ODIs, part of the World Test Championship and Super League respectively. The first Test will begin on December 27 in Karachi and the second will take place in Multan from January 4. These two Tests will be New Zealand’s first in Pakistan since May 2002. Next up, Karachi will host three ODIs scheduled for January 11, 13 and 15.

New Zealand will return in April for the second leg consisting of four T20Is in Karachi on April 13, 15, 16 and 19 and the final T20I in Lahore on April 23. Lahore will also be the venue for two ODIs on April 26 and 28 with the final three ODIs slated for May 1, 4 and 7 in Rawalpindi.
