Shubman Gill crafted his first century in the County Championship, playing for Glamorgan against Sussex on Tuesday. The stylish right-hander curated 119 runs in 139 balls, consisting of 16 fours and two sixes. He was, however, dismissed by Jack Carson owing to a miscued loft.
Gill has had a prolific stint in County cricket so far. He started off the season with a bang, scoring a 92 in 148 balls against Worcestershire. In this match against Sussex, he bettered his returns to achieve a maiden County ton. Gill has scored 244 runs in four innings at an average of 61.00, with a century and fifty each.
