Pakistan’s first-rate new-ball operation left England tottering at 14/3 in a 167-run chase in the fourth T20I at Karachi. Mohammad Nawaz picked Phil Salt in the first over before Mohammad Hasnain’s twin strike in the next, which saw the dismissals of Alex Hales and Will Jacks. England did manage to resuscitate the innings to 106/4 but back-to-back wickets of Moeen Ali (bowled by Nawaz) and Harry Brook (caught off a slower ball from Mohammad Wasim) derailed the chase yet again. Dawson tried his level best but couldn’t take the visitors over the line.
