Mohammad Rizwan (88 off 67) and Babar Azam (36 off 28) added 97 runs for the first wicket, getting Pakistan off to another solid start. Rizwan went on to complete a 38-ball fifty in the 10th over and even hit Adil Rashid for his solitary six soon after, but Pakistan lost their way thereafter to end up with an underwhelming 166/4. The hosts were in the driving seat when England required 33 more runs from two overs, with only three wickets in hand. But a 24-run over from Mohammad Hasnain changed the complexion of the game. Haris Rauf then picked two wickets in two balls to put the game back in Pakistan's lap.
