R Ashwin got rid of Danushka Gunathilaka but Sri Lanka got home thanks to Dasun Shanaka and Bhanuka Rajapaksa. India are on the brink of elimination in Asia Cup. They will be officially eliminated if Pakistan beat Afghanistan in tomorrow’s Super4 clash.
India have been on a good run post the World Cup in T20 cricket but their balance has been dented severely due to the Ravindra Jadeja injury. They’ve sorely missed spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel and they’ll rue the inexperience in their seam-bowling department. They still have a game to go and a couple of high-profile series coming up against Australia and South Africa so there is ample time for fine-tuning still.
