What seemed destined to become a damp squib, actually ended up becoming a nail-biter of a contest. It took a rain intervention to spruce the game up, and in a reduced contest, Barbados Royals held their nerves to end on the right side of the result. Agony was knocking on the door for the Royals, when at the end of a fiery four-wicket spell from Kyle Mayers the heavens opened up without the mandatory five-over quota being finished, and virtually robbed them of a victory.
