Led by Sam Cook’s exceptional 4 for 18, Manchester Originals’ six-match unbeaten streak was snapped in the final of The Hundred, at Lord’s on Saturday, as Trent Rockets registered a thrilling two-wicket win in a low-scoring affair to clinch the title. For a slow-moving affair that it was, the finale culminated in a dramatic finish. Josh Little, Paul Walter, Tom Hartley and Matt Parkinson all picked up two wickets apiece, but in the end, it didn’t prove adequate.
