Rahmanullah Gurabz hit a quickfire half-century to lead Afghanistan’s charge in the ongoing Asia Cup Super 4 clash against Sri Lanka. Dilshan Madushanka had earlier provided Sri Lanka a much-needed breakthrough after Afghanistan openers Gurbaz and Hazratullah Zazai began strongly. Madushanka rattled Zazai’s off-stump in the penultimate ball of the fifth over, curtailing Afghanistan’s momentum. Afghanistan then received a reprieve when Rahmanullah was caught in the third over, but the replay showed that the fielder’s boot was in contact with the boundary rope.
